Proudly Introducing the Digital Edition of the Inaugural Issue of World Chinese Literature

The Inaugural Issue of World Chinese Literature. First Published: October 2025

World Chinese Literature is an international annual literary journal published by the Chinese Writers Association of America (CWAA). Each issue contains approximately 250,000 Chinese characters and focuses on a specific literary genre, balancing original creative works with academic research. The journal is dedicated to building a print platform that values both literary creation and scholarly study.

The inaugural issue, themed “Micro-Drama Volume,” was inspired by the rapid global rise of micro-dramas, a form distinguished by its conciseness, cross-media expressiveness, and contemporary relevance. This issue features four complete 60-episode micro-drama scripts, 23 award-winning story synopses from the “CWAA Cup” accompanied by professional commentaries, and four academic essays written by researchers from the World Micro-Drama Research Association.

Through the integration of creative practice and theoretical exploration, the journal highlights the unique value of micro-dramas in media, structure, and storytelling, while examining their future potential as an emerging literary form.

On October 18, 2025, the inaugural issue of World Chinese Literature celebrated the grand launch of its “Micro-Drama Volume” in New York. Seven months later, in May 2026, the editorial board proudly released the digital edition of the inaugural issue, allowing readers to access and enjoy the publication instantly with a simple click. This new format offers literature enthusiasts a more convenient way to explore the richness and vision of World Chinese Literature.
